Beth Baltzan
Biography
Beth is the principal at American Phoenix Trade Advisory Services, PLLC, in Washington D.C. Beth has significant government experience in both the executive and legislative branches. Beth worked for the United States Trade Representative for more than six years as both a WTO litigator and negotiator. She was also counsel on all U.S. agreements negotiated between 2003 and 2009, including those with Australia and Korea. In 2016, the Obama Administration brought her back to USTR to consult on pending litigation. Beth also worked for the House of Representatives as Democratic trade counsel from 2012 to 2016, during the TPP and TTIP negotiations. In addition to her work in trade, Beth was a principal author of the Senate report exposing serious irregularities at JP Morgan Chase in connection with the 2012 London Whale scandal. Beth has appeared on CNBC and Fox Business. She was born in Saskatchewan.
