Biography

Dr. Raffael Büchi Raffael has specialized on knowledge management, LegalTech, and business development in the legal sector for more than ten years. As founder and owner of OWLEGAL, Raffael advises legal departments, law firms and public authorities on operational excellence, digitalization and automation, knowledge management and business development. Recent work includes • Advice to a LegalTech start-up (using AI for document analysis) on going-to-market • Design and conduct of a survey on corporate culture in a law firm and advice on changing the culture to foster collaboration and innovation • Advice to a law firm on improving knowledge management and supporting them in building a new know-how system • Supporting a law firm in implementing new client onboarding and CRM systems • Advice to the legal department of an international retailer on selecting a new legal matter management system as well as on knowledge management • Advice to a supervisory authority on improving knowledge management and support in building a new knowledge database • Advice to a law firm on public appearance, rankings, submissions, as well as on publication and social media strategy • Advice to a law firm on strategic focus, business development and marketing • Advice to the legal department of an international media group on contract management • Advice to the legal department of a global bank on training and professional development of its talent. Apart from his interest in the legal business, Raffael has always been intrigued by entrepreneurial projects: In 2013, Raffael co-founded Projekt Interim, which has grown to be the market leader for the temporary use of vacant real estate in Switzerland.
