Biography

Pooja Mahajan is the Managing Partner of Chandhiok & Mahajan, Advocates & Solicitors, an Indian full-service law firm. Pooja leads the firm’s Corporate and Restructuring practice. Her practice includes advising on mergers and acquisitions, inbound and outbound investments, advising on debt restructuring and corporate insolvency. Pooja routinely advises clients on a range of issues arising under the recent Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, 2016. She is representing various stakeholders in IBC proceedings, including debtors, creditors, bidders, resolution professionals and liquidators of companies undergoing insolvency. She regularly appears before the specialized insolvency tribunals in India, representing the stakeholders in such matters. Pooja completed her Bachelor in Laws from the University of Delhi with first class honours and has received her Bachelor in Civil Law with distinction from the University of Oxford, with special focus on insolvency laws.
