Michael Reynolds
Biography
Michael Reynolds has over 40 years’ experience in European antitrust law, having founded Allen & Overy’s Brussels office in 1979. He has represented major European, North American and Japanese corporations and other international clients before the European Commission (Commission) in merger control, cartel and unilateral conduct cases and has advised the governments of Spain, Russia, Poland and Romania on the application of European Union law. Michael acted for Sun Microsystems in its complaint against Microsoft, leading to one of the most complex antitrust cases ever brought by the Commission. He has been involved in more than 20 of the Commission’s major cartel cases, including one of the first cases on cartel settlements. Michael has occupied a number of senior positions at the International Bar Association, including the presidency which he held from 2013-2014.
