Johannes Tieves

Biography

Johannes Tieves is based in Hengeler Mueller's Frankfurt office. Johannes studied law in Bonn and Heidelberg. He graduated in 1992 and obtained a doctoral degree for a thesis on corporate law from the University of Heidelberg in 1997. From 1994 to 1996 he did his legal clerkship in Hamburg. Afterwards he worked for McKinsey and joined Hengeler Mueller in 1997. Since then Johannes has been seconded for six months to a leading international investment bank in Luxembourg and for one year for another leading international investment bank in London and New York. He has been a partner of the firm since 2002. His practice areas include syndicated lending and acquisition finance, high yield bond financings and restructuring / insolvency.
