Kathrine Meloni
Biography
Kathrine joined Slaughter and May in 1994. She spent her first ten years in practice advising on a variety of cross-border financing and M&A transactions, based mostly in the London and Singapore offices of Slaughter and May. Since 2004 she has primarily advised the firm and its clients on technical issues affecting banking and finance transactions including legal and regulatory developments and market documentation. Kathrine has a particular interest in investment grade lending, advising the Association of Corporate Treasurers on documentation discussions with the Loan Market Association and related policy and technical issues. She is the author of the ACT Borrower’s Guide to LMA Loan Documentation for Investment Grade Borrowers. She has published numerous articles on banking and related legal topics and is a regular speaker at LMA, ACT and other industry events. Recent areas of focus include LIBOR discontinuance and the legal and regulatory risks of Brexit. Kathrine co-ordinates Slaughter and May’s Brexit advisory practice and sits on the Firm’s Brexit Steering Committee. Kathrine is also a member of Slaughter and May’s Africa Practice Group and the author of the Firm’s guide to LMA documentation in Africa. She has spoken extensively on banking matters at LMA and other events in South and East Africa.
