Biography

Patrick is a past President of the Maritime Law Association of South Africa (MLA), a main board member of the International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) and the head of IBIA in Africa. He is a member of the International Bar Association, Maritime and Transport Law Committee, and has represented the South African MLA at the Comité Maritime International since 2008. He is a member of the International Conventions working group of the CMI. Patrick is a guest lecturer at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal to LLM students and an external examiner at the University of Cape Town. He is also the pro bono lawyer for the National Sea Rescue Institute. Patrick is recognised by Legal 500, Who's Who Legal Transport and Chambers Global
