Biography

Founded Agropro in 2013, a hemp seed contracting and processing company located in Lithuania. With a background in Law, Skirmantas used his own capital and negotiated a joint venture with the largest hemp farming operator in the Baltic states. He was the first to start converting organic farmers in Baltic states to farming hemp, which consequently led Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia in becoming leaders of Europe’s hemp industry, second only to France. He was able to successfully raise capital from ACME group for further growth of Agropro and co-founded Borela, now a global leader in hemp grain processing. Both companies were acquired in 2018 by Aurora Cannabis, one of Canada’s leading cannabis license producers.
