Biography

Dr. Michael Menz serves as General Counsel & Senior Vice President for Corporate Governance at Zalando SE, Europe’s leading online destinations for fashion and shoes. Michael joined Zalando in early 2013, he is responsible for Legal, Internal Audit, Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability, Risk, Compliance and Real Estate for all 17 Zalando markets in Europe leading a team of more than 180 people. Before this, Michael spent more than 7 years at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer specializing in M&A, private equity and corporate governance. He holds a PhD in law from the University in Freiburg and an LL.M. from the University of Georgia (U.S.). In the summer of 2018 Michael attended the Executive Program at the Business School of Stanford.
