Biography

Árpád Geréd is an international IT-lawyer and founding partner of Viennese business law firm Maybach Görg Lenneis Geréd Rechtsanwälte GmbH. Before, he was partner at a renowned law firm in Vienna and in-house-counsel to a leading international ICT-enterprise With a passion for everything related to information technology, Árpád has specialized in consultation in and negotiating of software and technology-related deals, with a strong focus on Cloud Computing, Cyber Security and Data Protection. In his practice, Árpád combines technological know-how with legal expertise, allowing him to communicate likewise with business- and IT-decision-makers, a skill which his international clients value highly. Árpád regularly speaks on IT- and technology-related topics in Austria and abroad. Furthermore he is an accredited auditor to the EuroCloud StarAudit, specialized on Software as a Service, as well as a lecturer in the master programme “Cloud Computing Engineering” at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland. Additionally Árpád is an expert at and delegate to the UNCITRAL’s Working Group IV, “Electronic Commerce”. At AIJA, the international association devoted to lawyers and in-house counsels aged 45 and under, Árpád curretly serves as President of the Commission for Intellectual Property, Technology, Media and Telecommunications (IP/TMT).
