This session will look at the data centre and digital infrastructure boom reshaping Latin America. Subjects that will be discussed include: siting and permitting, power procurement and grid connection, water use, environmental licensing, community relations and the financing and construction contracts underpinning these projects.

This session will look at how companies and creditors are navigating distress across Latin America. This includes analysing the interplay between out-of-court workouts and formal insolvency proceedings, cross-border recognition under the UNCITRAL Model Law and its regional variants and how tighter credit conditions are testing restructuring regimes built for a different rate environment.

Where ESG and sustainability obligations now bite in practice: disclosure and reporting regimes, carbon and biodiversity markets, supply chain and deforestation rules and financing tied to transition commitments. This session will also look at where Latin America itself stands: a region whose abundance of natural resources and land is both its biggest ESG opportunity — carbon markets, biodiversity credits, renewable resources, sustainable agriculture — and its central paradox, caught between monetising and protecting the same natural capital.

How risk is actually being allocated in Latin American M&A today: indemnities, R&W insurance, earnouts, conditionality and dispute mechanics and how far market practice has converged across the region.

Latin America’s central role in the global race for critical minerals and rare earths — the lithium triangle across Chile, Argentina and Bolivia, Chile and Peru’s dominance in copper and Brazil’s largely untapped rare earth deposits. This session will look at resource nationalism and the push toward local processing rather than raw export, permitting and community consent specific to extraction projects, offtake arrangements and the investors competing for these assets.

Private equity, credit, special situations, real estate and secondaries strategies — including the growing use of continuation funds — in a region where the funds industry is becoming increasingly central to how Latin American businesses are financed and owned. This session will look at fundraising conditions, the structuring and regulatory issues shaping how private capital is deployed and the shifting balance between established foreign funds and a rising generation of local managers.

This session will look at how shifting trade patterns and geopolitical realignment are reshaping where and how capital enters Latin America and which parts of the world are emerging as new or strengthened partners for the region, from Asian and Middle Eastern capital to realigned trade relationships with Europe and North America.
