Description
This panel will look at the boundaries of merger control, on a variety of dimensions • Are the current definitions of what constitutes reviewable mergers sufficient to capture potentially anti-competitive transactions? • Should the toolbox available to competition authorities include review of acquisitions of minority participations, small (often local) transactions, and joint ventures? • Should thresholds be adapted to capture specific types of deals?
