Description
Few rules are as important to the effective practice of competition law as those that apply to safeguarding the confidentiality of documents. This panel will examine best practices for navigating the document protection landscape at a time when the rules are evolving and interacting across major jurisdictions. Questions to be addressed include: • How do differences across jurisdictions in the rules of civil discovery or of privilege jeopardise confidentiality? • What are the hazards and pitfalls of leniency processes that are nominally paperless? • Who is entitled to access to documents that competition regulators obtain and place in their files?
