Infrastructure: an important new asset class under the private equity umbrella

Thursday 21 November (1400 - 1440)

Description

Infrastructure fundraising and investment has become a central component of the alternative asset world in recent years. Pressure on governments around the world to improve infrastructure of both traditional and non-traditional types, ranging from road and rail through to telecoms and technology infrastructure together with a moderation of return expectations from more traditional private equity; have led many longstanding private equity players to focus on infrastructure as an important diversification for their business. This interview will focus on the particular issues that infrastructure presents both for sponsors and their lawyers and will look at both fundraising and transactional issues.
