Our panel of General Counsel from leading organizations in mining, energy and infrastructure will explore the geopolitical landscape impacting corporate agendas, international alliances and the approach to resource development in the race to secure energy, critical minerals and defense systems globally, including:
- Global competition for critical minerals and efforts to revitalize domestic mining;
- Surging global energy demand requiring efforts to rapidly secure and develop conventional, renewable and nuclear supplies, the dramatic shocks to supply systems and global markets as a result of world events in Venezuela, the Strait of Hormuz and Ukraine, and how Asian and European markets are responding;
- Rising demand for capital for energy infrastructure, including the buildout required for electrification;
- The impact to the climate agenda and balancing priorities for regulators, companies and investors;
- How resource companies, investors and their boards are navigating their strategic plans in these volatile and uncertain times.
