Description

There is increasing pressure on businesses to take steps to ascertain, manage and account for the impact of their actions on ESG and human rights. This pressure is taking on a more obvious legal dimension, as concepts of moral and ethical responsibility begin to transform into harder edged legal duties, predominantly through legislation, regulation, and litigation. In this global multidisciplinary session, we will bring together expert class action litigators, corporate counsel, climate activist plaintiff organizations and climate scientists to help us navigate through the impact of recent strategic litigation and developments in the regulatory and risk management spheres concerning climate change, sustainability and human rights across the globe.

The IBA Litigation Committee have organised three sessions and one joint session with the IBA Class Actions Committee to be held at the International Chamber of the Paris Commercial Court on Tuesday 31 October.
