IBAHRI joint statement on the outcomes of Egypt’s third UPR at the 43rd Session of the Human Rights Council

The IBAHRI, Lawyers for Lawyers, The Law Society of England and Wales and The Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy delivered a statement on the outcomes of Egypt’s UPR at the 43rd Session of the Human Rights Council. The statement urged the country to immediately release lawyers facing prosecution for performing their professional duties and amend laws that violate the rights to freedom of expression and assembly.
