Biography

James Ryans is the Chief Financial Officer of Social Capital, as well as for six SPACs sponsored by Social Capital focusing on the technology and biotechnology industries. He has been a professor of accounting at London Business School, and was previously an Independent Director at Virgin Galactic Holdings, Inc., and two previous SPACs, Social Capital Hedosophia Holdings Corp. I and Social Capital Hedosophia Holdings Corp. III. He received his undergraduate degree from The University of Waterloo, an MBA from the University of Michigan and a doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a member of the CFA Society of the UK.
