Biography

Dário Moura Vicente is a Full Professor (Catedrático) at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, where he has taught, over the past 30 years, Private International Law, Comparative Law, International Commercial Law, Civil Law, and IP Law. He was admitted to the Portuguese Bar (Ordem dos Advogados) in 1987. Has participated as Presiding Arbitrator, Sole Arbitrator and Party-Appointed Arbitrator, as well as Counsel and Legal Expert, in several dozen domestic and international arbitrations. Chair of the Portuguese Arbitration Association (Associação Portuguesa de Arbitragem) and of the Portuguese Society for Intellectual Property Law (Associação Portuguesa de Direito Intelectual). Former Vice-President of Portugal’s largest arbitration institution, the Centre for Commercial Arbitration of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Author of over 70 publications in English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish.
