Biography

Mayra is a lawyer by the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and holds an LLM with a mention in International Legal Studies by New York University. She is a partner in Payet Rey Cauvi Pérez Abogados, focusing her practice in international and domestic arbitration, both commercial and investment arbitration. Mayra also worked for a year as an international visiting associate at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom in the New York office. She has vast experience in mining, energy and infrastructure disputes. Mayra is a member of the arbitrators list of the Center of Arbitration of the Lima Chamber of Commerce as well as of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham). She teaches at the law faculty of the Universidad Católica in Peru. She currently serves as Events Co Director for Young ICCA and is a member of the steering committee of New York Arbitration Week 2026.
