Biography

Sophie Bayrou is Counsel in Clyde & Co's International Arbitration team in Paris. She represents sovereign states, multinational companies and public and private entities in complex commercial and investment disputes across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, as well as in arbitration-related proceedings before the French courts. Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Sophie spent three years in Singapore advising clients across Southeast Asia. Sophie has a particular focus on energy, ESG and renewable energy disputes and a deep interest in the role of arbitration in addressing the legal and strategic challenges of the global green transition. She is actively involved in sustainability initiatives within the international arbitration community.
