Biography

A French national, Louis B. Buchman received his legal education at the University of Paris. He was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1974 (Board Certified as a specialist in International and European Union Law and in Arbitration Law) and to the New York Bar in 1989. He is a partner of Fieldfisher LLP, based in its Paris office. Louis is the author of several publications and articles related to Arbitration and Mediation, Bank Guarantees and Corporate Governance. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and currently serves as chair of the International Legal Services Committee of the CCBE. Louis was a captain in the French Navy.
