Biography

Dr Michael Smets is an Associate Professor at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where he also obtained his doctorate. He studies and advises professional service firms in law, accounting, consulting and reinsurance, focusing on internationalization, innovation and partner development. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Professions and Organizations, on the advisory board of Business Law Magazine, and on the panel for the German Legal Innovation Award. Michael is also a lead author of the ‘CEO Report’, which was launched at the World Economic Forum in 2015. The report is based on interviews with over 150 CEOs worldwide, exploring what it takes to lead a corporation in the hyper-connected business world of today.
