Description
Operation Car Wash triggered an unprecedented level of anticorruption enforcement in Latin America: high-profile politicians, business tycoons and large corporations have been held accountable for the first time. Confronted against the evidence, sanctions are being imposed and there is a sense that impunity no longer has a place in the region. Is such a view precise – have there been positive effects on governance and living standards? What else needs to be done to improve the ethics in the region? This session will discuss the next steps that need to be taken if Latin America wants to move forward.
