Human rights violations in North Korea and the international community's response

Michael Kirby, Chair of the United Nations Commission of Inquiry on Human Rights in North Korea and a former Australian High Court judge, explores the findings of the Commission’s report, how he obtained testimony, and what action should be taken to bring about change in this totalitarian state.

According to Kirby, the regime aims to control every aspect of its peoples’ lives and should be referred by the UN Security Council to the International Criminal Court.
