7th Biennial Conference on Construction Projects from Conception to Completion
1 Nov - 2 Nov 2019
Session information
Prospective v retrospective assessments under construction contracts
Saturday 2 November (1140 - 1300)
Description
It is said that assessing extensions of time and additional payments on a prospective basis favours contractors, while assessing them on a retrospective basis favours employers. The panel will consider the extent to which this is true and, where there is a choice between the two, which is to be preferred by the deciders of disputes.
