IBAHRI conducts a scoping trip to Ukraine

The International Bar Association’s Human Rights Institute (IBAHRI) conducted a scoping trip to Ukraine to assess the state of and access to the legal profession in the country.

At the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom, the International Bar Association’s Human Rights Institute (IBAHRI) conducted a scoping trip to Ukraine in January 2018. A comprehensive report and action plan were then prepared on the state of and access to the legal profession in the country.

In May 2018, the IBAHRI arranged a follow-up visit to the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. We will use the findings to begin work on building the capacity of Ukrainian lawyers and training key practitioners on non-coercive investigation methods.
