International data transfers are increasingly essential to global trade, and their management is of critical importance to multinational companies and will impact international politics. This webinar will discuss the following:
- Rules and restrictions on cross-border data transfers in the jurisdictions of the speakers – eg, the restricted data types, procedures that are required before the transfer, the authorities in charge and regulating trends;
- Conflicts between jurisdictions and suggestions for possible methods of facilitating the cross-border data flow; and
- Industries that are heavily burdened under the international barriers of cross-border data transfer
